| Evelyn Arvey currently studies classical guitar with Seattle guitarist/composer Kevin Callahan. She has also studied with Steve Howland from Pacific Lutheran University, and is a frequent member of the Guitar Orchestra of Seattle under the direction of Mark Hilliard Wilson. Evelyn began her studies 20 years ago with Carlos Holley, a Seattle guitarist specializing in both flamenco and classical styles. Her background in music also includes ten years of piano study, five years of viola, and experience playing in symphonic ensembles. Evelyn has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from the University of Washington, and is drawn to all things artistic. In addition to her endeavors in music, Evelyn is a jeweler, works in ceramics, and sells her work at fine arts and craft shows around the Puget Sound Area. Evelyn is also a writer, and is currently working on her first novel. |
Mark Francis studied classical guitar with Loris Chobanian at Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music in Berea, Ohio. He relocated to Seattle, Washington in 2006, and currently teaches lower school music and choir at Seattle’s Bush School. Mark is a National Board certified teacher. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Baldwin-Wallace, and earned his Master of Arts degree with a concentration in Orff Schulwerk from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. Mark has performed with the Guitar Orchestra of Seattle under the direction of Mark Hilliard Wilson, and pursues duo studies with guitarist/composer Kevin Callahan. Mark is also an academic researcher and grant recipient in the fields of music and education, an antiquarian book and music collector, and a website designer for musicicans, artists and organizations of all kinds. |
